Launch of Learning2C™, In November of 2007 Keystone Research Corporation launched its approach to process improvement in the hyman services in NW PA with a series of introductory workshops and a 2-day training event. Through the training and technical assistance provided by KSRC's researchers and process improvement specialists, organizations are able to build their internal capacity to identify opportunities for improvements that will produce results. Ph.D. in Orgainzational Learning and Leadership, Gannon University. Tania Bogatova, MBA, Associate Researcher and Director of Business Development at Keystone Research Corporation was accepted into the Organizational Learning and Leadership PH.D. program at Gannon University and began her studies in the Fall 2007.
Evaluation of the Arkansas Early Childhood Professional Development System (AECPDS). This two-year evaluation of AECPDS has been completed and the final report submitted to the Arkansas Department of Human Services,Division of Child Care and Early Child hood Education (DCCECE). A briefing was held on October 15-16, 2007 for the Arkansas Early Childhood Commission and the AECPDS Steering Committee, along with other stakeholders. American Evaluation Association (AEA). Annual Conference, Baltimore, MD, November 7-10, 2007. NAEYC National Institute for Early Childhood Professional Development, Pittsburgh, PA, June 9-13, 2007. The National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, PA Affiliate , presented Joyce Miller, Ph.D., with their 2005 Honorary Award for "Promoting, Fostering, and Upholding the Ideals of Extension Family Living Agents." This award recognized Joyce for her over 15 years of service as the Project Director for PA Pathways, the early care and education professional development system for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1988-2006). Through this program, the Family Living Agents of the Penn State Cooperative Extension offices formed an integral part of the network of educational institutions that delivered professional development opportunities to the early childhood and school-age providers.
Diversification of KSRC. In 2005, KeyStone Research Corporation diversified its services by establishing the Keystone Business Service Center (KBSC). 25 th Anniversary Award. In 2005, KeyStone Research Corporation was presented an award by the Manufacturers' Association of Northwest Pennsylvania in recognition of being in business for 25 years.
New Business. Bruce Carnohan, KSRC's process improvement specialist, is working on a project at a large aircraft industry in Dallas , TX . He is working with a team of lean consultants from Carreira Consulting on this project. Also, Bruce was contracted to deliver Process Improvement/Lean Overview Training to Alpha Sintered Metal in Ridgway, PA. |
